Träullit is a traditional family business founded by Lennart Rääf in 1946. Today it is headed by his son Bengt Rääf. The company has manufactured boards and slabs of cement-bonded wood wool since its inception. Wood wool made from spruce, sprung from our very nature and combined with pure cement, gives your house unique properties. Properties that give good thermal insulation, high capacity heat storage, good acoustic damping, documented high resistance to fire, mould and rot, mechanically strength and a good plaster base. Our headquarters and factory are located in Österbymo in southern Östergötland.
Our Business
Our business is to develop, manufacture and sell the best cement-bonded wood wool products on the market. Our products are boards and slabs of wood wool. Our range of products has been increased since 2004 with our proprietary Träullit Full Height Wall System. Our customers can be found on the Scandinavian and Northern European markets.
Le Corbusier and Träullit
The famous architect and artist Le Corbusier (1887-1965) had direct ties to Sweden, and his breakthrough work Maisons La Roche-Jeanneret from 1923-25 was influenced by the Rääf family in Ydre, Sweden.
